Why Do Some Marquee Programs Cost Extra?

While the vast majority of the great performances available on Marquee are included as part of the subscription or weekly pass, there are also programs that come with an additional charge. These programs fall into one of two categories:

1.) Live or Special Events

Marquee is partnering with an increasing list of arts organizations who are using our platform to deliver live or special performances for a fee, with all net proceeds going back to the arts organizations, most of which are greatly struggling due to the pandemic. 

In many cases, these programs will be subject to an additional charge for a limited period of time, and later be included for subscribers.

2.) Only Available for Purchase or Rental

There are some programs where the original rights agreements only allow the program to be sold for digital purchase or rental, and not as part of a subscription.
