There are several typical causes of buffering during playback on Apple TV devices. While some buffering can be connection related.
Note: Some programs on Marquee are incompatible with older AppleTV models when streamed at highest quality. If you are experiencing buffering, please visit How to Change Playback Quality to lower your video playback settings to 720P
To identify your Apple TV model, visit Identify Your Apple TV
Generation 1 and 2: These devices can support maximum playback at 720p30. This will impact almost all Marquee content at highest quality. Please change your playback quality to 720P.
Generation 3: This device can support maximum playback at 1080p30 or 1080p25 This will impact selected Marquee content at highest quality, including productions from the Royal Shakespeare Company.
In addition, Generation 1 to 3 devices don't support frame rate matching, which can also be an issue due to the international nature of our content, where different frame rates are the norm.
Generation 4 and later: Should be good. Buffering issues likely related to connectivity - please email support@marquee.tv
